Choir

Our church choir is made up of a group of people, young and old, male and female, of all abilities. What we all have in common is a love of singing praise to God. We lead the praise at most of our church services, and contribute special seasonal items at Easter, Harvest, Christmas and on other special occasions. The pieces we sing are of many different styles. Some are traditional, some are contemporary, and amongst our favourites are those which are a blend of the two.  Some are purely expressions of praise to God, others are focused on bringing comfort or hope, or challenging listeners with biblical truth and pointing them to Jesus as Saviour.  A lot of the pieces we sing are nice and simple and easy to learn. Others need a bit more effort, but challenging ourselves and encouraging one another to learn step-by-step together is great fun! Whilst we take what we do seriously, we certainly don’t take ourselves too seriously! We’re a really friendly bunch, and love to see new faces. There is only one qualification for joining – you just need to love singing God’s praise. You don’t need to be able to read music (only some of our current members do). Come and join a practice or two – we meet on Thursdays at 7.30pm in the church halls from September to May.
